bio

Milla is a journalist, filmmaker, and photographer committed to telling stories that exist at the margins—where silence often reigns, but humanity pulses strongest. A student of Journalism and Film at UC Berkeley, her work weaves visual storytelling with investigative depth, focusing on themes of social justice, environmental conservation, culture, and the ocean.

From documenting the intimate struggles of unhoused communities in Los Angeles to capturing the vibrant resilience of women in rural Ecuador, and diving beneath the waves in the Galápagos to film biodiversity at risk, Milla approaches each story with empathy, curiosity, and a deep belief in the power of visibility. Her practice centers lived experience, always seeking to amplify voices too often unheard.

Milla’s work has taken her across continents and coastlines, but her mission remains the same: to use media as a force for truth, compassion, and change.
